Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – Information And Report To Tokyo Olympics 2021

As you have probably heard it, the Tokyo Olympics 2020 Games have been postponed to 2021, for obvious reasons due to the coronavirus outbreak of COVID-19 virus, which led to many cancelled events internationally. The situation cannot accept an event that gathers so much people.

Even if, locally, Japan has done a great job at dealing with the coronavirus situation for now, they cannot take the risk to host such a big event. If we take the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, 7.5 million tickets were sold. The opening ceremony took place in the Maracanã, where 78 000 people were gathered at the same place in the bleachers.

At a time where we are all locked down in our home, it is unbelievable to have such a gathering in such a close time. Those are the reasons which pushed the authorities to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
