The absolute perfect vacation destination in April is without a doubt Kyoto, Japan. The gorgeous cherry blossom (Sakura) season in Japan begins right in April, and lasts for around two weeks. Fortunately enough, Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, just happens to be the epicenter of this beautiful phenomenon. Having visited Kyoto a few times myself, I think this city is definitely a must-visit destination in Japan. There are lots of activities available around the city catered towards tourists. For example, visiting cute monkeys at the Arashiyama Monkey Park, trying Japanese sake at famous breweries in Fushimi, and experiencing Japanese dress-up with traditional Kimono rentals.

Apart from the picturesque scenery, historic temples, colorful shrines, delicious cuisines, and Matcha flavored desserts. What makes Kyoto even more inviting is its friendly people and exceptional hospitality. Every time I return to Kyoto, the people just seem to get nicer. Not once have I felt uncomfortable or in danger while walking around the city. Overall, Kyoto is a culturally-rich and breathtaking city that's totally worth visiting, especially in the month of April.

Nanda Devi National Park, Uttarakhand

The Nanda Devi National Park is the most picturesque destination you will visit in April. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and gets its name from Nanda Devi, the second highest mountain in the country. The national park is home to some of the most distinct flora and fauna the country has to offer. Brown and Himalayan black bears, snow leopards, serow and cheer pheasants and the Himalayan tahr are a part of the fauna of this beautiful national park.

Wait for the Holland Tulip Festival

Each May, the Holland Tulip Festival is a wildly popular event drawing thousands of visitors to the quaint waterfront village located in Holland Michigan. Acres of colorful tulips bloom across the city and visitors can engage in festive Dutch dancing, discover how wooden shoes are made, visit the famous Windmill Island Gardens and see the Four Columns organ that was gifted to the city in 1947 from Amsterdam.

Our favorite place to visit during the festival is Veldheer’s Tulip Farm as visitors can spend the day viewing 5.5 million tulips and 80,000 daffodils and hyacinths. The farm is also home to a wooden shoe factory, Delft factory (Dutch pottery) and roaming buffalo. Windows on the Waterfront is another must-see location in Holland as the hilly park is blanketed with thousands of tulips and beautiful hiking trails.

Each year, planning and finding events during the week long festival has gotten easier due to a more streamlined online presence. Many events such as the very popular trolley rides, boat tours and dinners can now be booked in advance eliminating long lines and disappointment. As a lifelong Michigander, I look forward to attending this festival each year and highly recommend the colorful experience to every flower lover, photographer and traveler.

The first location would be Bolivia in South America. In the month of April, the rainy season ceases and is replaced by a fine and pleasurable atmosphere. There are so many places that you can visit including deserts, lagoons, rock-trees, volcano, etc.

The second destination would be Bali, Indonesia. April is considered the peak time in Bali as they have dry weather and lots of festivals. You can visit various beaches, local towns and villages, temples, spa centers, etc.

Lastly, I cannot help but throw South Carolina in there. Charleston is gorgeous at this month of the year and you cannot miss this. There are various annual festivals in the month of April that you can't overlook.

The best place to go on vacation in April is Moab, Utah.

Yes, I have been there before and I would go again because it is the place that made me fall in love with hiking. During that time of the year, it is not too hot or too cold, so it is the perfect time to do outdoor activities. While hiking through the Arches National Park, I enjoyed the scenery without trying to hide from the sun or being distracted by exhaustion.

The variety of activities that are available outside of hiking has improved there compared to my previous visit. You get the entirety of an outdoor adventure.

The activities worth doing are hiking (of course), horseback riding, biking, and a four-wheeler tour.

April is the best month to visit Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, because of the pleasant weather and awesome tourist spots. Puerto Vallarta has now become the most alluring destination in Mexico. The minimum stay of at least seven days is enough to make your fall in love with this beautiful destination.

I went there to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico last year, and I’ll definitely say that the weather there is perfect, and it's quite an affordable picturesque destination to go. There is no rain in the month of April, so you can easily enjoy beach days and explore Puerto Vallarta markets and eat culinary meals near the beach.

The historical visits are quite memorable, especially the tour to the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the day, and Boardwalk Malecon is the perfect evening spot. Here, you can enjoy a dance performance at the well-known location named as an amphitheater.

When I visited this place a few years back, it was very expensive, especially airfare, and the rush was unbearable. It was not a pleasant experience at that time, but April is the best month to enjoy your visit there.

I love to be there on the beach, eating along the beach, and enjoy watching sunsets there. The dance performance at the amphitheater is the most fun activity there that I thoroughly enjoy.
